Fraternity and Sorority Life

UT Dallas Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) is home to 26 national Greek fraternities and sororities. These organizations provide UT Dallas students with opportunities for friendship, guidance and leadership that last well beyond their college experience.

Belonging

Belonging

In a fast-moving, high-tech and sometimes competitive collegiate environment, fraternities and sororities offer an oasis of friendship and support. Our brothers and sisters care for us, they are always there for us, and they are our lifelines through college and throughout life. Oh, and they’ll be the highlight of some of our most fun and unforgettable moments in college!

Personal Development

Personal Development

Our chapters and our inter/national organizations prepare us for our careers, help us develop our interpersonal skills and challenge us to live up to the daily standards and expectations of membership. We believe there is no better personal development opportunity on campus than FSL.

Opportunity

Opportunity

Being in a sorority or fraternity provides an advantage in both college and in life that we believe is unmatched. The networks of brothers and sisters we have around the world connect us with career possibilities, and membership in FSL launches us into countless other collegiate involvement opportunities.

How to Join

College Panhellenic Council

The College Panhellenic Council (CPC) is the governing body for 4 national/international sororities that belong to the National Panhellenic Conference.

The Interfraternity Council

The Interfraternity council (IFC) is a self-governing organization for 8 NIC and historically NIC fraternities that promote chapter collaboration through meetings, social outlets, and philanthropic events.

The National Pan-Hellenic Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body for the “Divine Nine” historically African-American fraternities and sororities. NPHC aims to unify the 4 member organizations represented on the UT Dallas campus through an emphasis on community service, academics, leadership development and collaboration.

Multicultural Greek Council

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) governs the ten culturally-oriented fraternities and sororities. MGC sponsors community service projects and leadership development for its member organizations.

Fraternity & Sorority Life Nondiscrimination Policy

UT Dallas is committed to providing an educational, living and working environment that is welcoming, respectful and inclusive of all members of the University community. An environment that is free of discrimination and harassment allows Comets to excel in their academic and professional careers. To that end, and to the extent provided by application of federal and state law, the University prohibits unlawful discrimination against a person because of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information or veteran status. In addition, the University’s commitment to equal opportunity extends its nondiscrimination protections to include sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression where not protected by applicable law.
